Cemetery Records

Various newspapers have obituary archives.

Due to the lack of space in Italy, most cemeteries do not contain graves that are very old. Unless you are well known or wealthy, graves are reused or there is a common burial ground. Looking for graves of your ancestors may be next to impossible. Your best bet is to try to get the death certificate from the Stato Civile of the town your Ancestor was from.
